Over 50 Belarusian companies take part in India International Trade Fair

MINSK, 14 November (BelTA) - Over 50 Belarusian companies will demonstrate their products at India International Trade Fair (IITF) on 14-27 November, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Embassy in India.

“Major Belarusian enterprises will participate in the 36th edition of the India International Trade Fair” (IITF) which runs in New Delhi from 14 to 27 November. Over 50 Belarusian companies will demonstrate their achievements in engineering, petrochemistry, light and food industry, health, science and education,” the Embassy said.

Belarus’ national exposition will feature the companies-leaders in the field of automobile and agricultural machine-building, among which are BelAZ, MAZ, Amkodor, Minsk Bearing Plant. Belneftekhim Concern will present its affiliated companies: Svetlogorsk Khimvolokno (polyester products, fertilizers and packaging materials) and Mogilevkhimvolokno (polyester fibers, synthetic food films, PET performs).

Belarus’ Health Ministry will showcase the largest pharmaceutical companies, leading medical centers providing heart and cardiac care and also training centers of medical education and will present Belarus’ main export-oriented services in such areas as transplantation, radiology, cardiology, orthopedics, plastic surgery, reproductive health, rehabilitation.

The collective stand of the State Committee for Science and Technology of Belarus will display the achievements of the organizations affiliated with the Education Ministry and the National Academy of Sciences, for example, polymer materials for 3D printers, optical systems, medical implants and instruments for traumatology and osteosynthesis, filters to trap blood clots.

Belgospishcheprom Concern will exhibit Belarusian zefir, pastilles, marmalade and halva (by Krasny Pisthevik and Krasny Mozyryanin companies); chocolate, candies, cookies and other products by Kommunarka Spartak and Slodych confectionaries.

Lidapischekontsentraty will present a wide range of food concentrates, including breakfast cereals, instant soups, jelly, oat, barley and wheat flakes, corn sticks. Volkovysk Bellakt will bring high-quality dry dairy mixes for baby food.

Leading Belarusian light industry companies will present their products: wool and wool blend fabrics, home and Interior textiles. Belarusian linen fabrics and products from flax will be new to Indian consumers.

The business program of Belarus’ national expo includes presentations of the enterprises-participants and their products, business matchmaking events and B2B negotiations. Besides, the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry jointly with the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India with the support of the Embassy of Belarus in India are considering holding the 10th meeting of the Belarus-India business cooperation.

Relations between Belarus and India are strategic in nature. The Belarusian-Indian trade totaled $445.5 million in 2015. Main exports are potash and nitrogen fertilizers, polycarbonate acid, synthetic filaments, polyamides, electronic integrated circuits, fiber glass, and bearings.
