MINSK, 11 November (BelTA) – Nicaragua is interested in exchanging expertise and expanding cooperation with the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone. The matter was discussed during the visit of the delegation of Nicaragua to the industrial park led by Advisor to Nicaraguan Co-presidents on Investment, Trade and International Cooperation Laureano Ortega Murillo, BelTA learned from the press service of the park.
The guests received a detailed overview from the park’s management about the establishment of the special economic zone and its close collaboration with China. This cooperation has been key to the park’s evolution into one of the region’s largest and most promising industrial hubs. The delegation was also briefed on the preferential legal regime of the park, which includes tax and customs benefits for residents, making it attractive to foreign investors.
During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for bilateral cooperation and expressed mutual intention to deepen economic ties between Nicaragua and Belarus. Laureano Ortega Murillo noted the high potential of the Great Stone park as a platform for the implementation of joint investment and innovation projects. He emphasized Nicaragua’s interest in exchanging experience and expanding cooperation in industrial development and technology.
The visit is another step in strengthening cooperation between the two countries, aimed at creating favorable conditions for business and expanding trade and economic ties, the press service said. The Great Stone park remains a key element of Belarus’ strategic partnership with foreign countries, including Latin American states, ensuring sustainable development and technological modernization of the economy.
