MTZ rice farming tractor undergoing tests in Vietnam

MINSK, 27 February (BelTA) – The new rice farming MTZ tractor is undergoing tests in Vietnam, Andrei Stasilevich, the chief designer of Minsk Tractor Works (MTZ trademark), said at an international conference of MTZ distribution network entities, BelTA has learned.

It is expected that this model will help MTZ increase its presence in the countries of South-East Asia. “We have made some adjustments and now the tractor is ready for the market,”  Andrei Stasilevich said.

The chief designer also considers it promising to advance the 460ph heavy-duty tractor. The latest exhibition in Germany’s Hannover demonstrated the interest in the product from consumers, he said.

The plant also adapts engines of various manufacturers for heavy-duty tractors, continues work on gas-diesel engines, electromechanical transmission, automated control and monitoring systems.
