MTZ classroom opens in Novosibirsk Agricultural University

MTZ classroom opens in Novosibirsk Agricultural University

MINSK, 26 October (BelTA) – The classroom of Minsk Tractor Works (MTZ trademark) has opened in the Novosibirsk State Agricultural University, BelTA learned from the MTZ press service.

The goal of the project is to train students, workers of MTZ dealer centers and specialists of the Novosibirsk Oblast agro-industrial sector.

The total area of the classroom is about 400m2. It occupies two floors. Minsk Tractor Works will provide the university with the BELARUS-3022ДЦ.1 tractor for trials. The classroom has a repair area will educational stands, workshops, a warehouse, and a study room.

“Today our principled position is to participate in the learning process. The opening of the classroom is a joint step forward, thanks to which the university graduates will know how to use complex technical products correctly,” MTZ Director General Vitaly Vovk said. In his words, the opening of the branded classroom is only the first step. The enterprise further plans to help the university. “Thanks to joint efforts we will get the technology the consumer needs,” he said.

According to Rector of the Novosibirsk State Agricultural University Evgeny Rudoi, today about 1,000 students attend the university in-person and some 1,000 more are engaged in a distance learning. “In the MTZ-branded classroom our students will have classes, get familiar with modern equipment, and develop world-class competences. We are grateful to Minsk Tractor Works, the world-level company, that it shares its knowledge and technologies. I am confident that now the level of training will be much higher,” he said.

Russian Senator Alexander Karelin attended the opening ceremony. “It is important that Minsk Tractor Works, the world-renowned tractor manufacturer, turned its attention to the oldest university of our oblast center. In Novosibirsk, we have a trading house, which acts as a promoter of excellent equipment from Belarus. The level of investment says that this training and service technology will retain its competitive advantage in the next few years. We are currently talking about the agricultural sector. Considering that BELARUS is a tractor which application is limitless, especially in our snowy winters, we may expect that soon the municipal services will ask the university for an opportunity to get professional skills,” he said.

Minsk Tractor Works and the Novosibirsk State Agricultural University also concluded an agreement on practical training for university students and seminars for teachers at the MTZ training center.

In December 2019, Vitaly Vovk and Novosibirsk Oblast Governor Andrei Travnikov signed a memorandum on promoting cooperation between Belarusian machine builders and Siberian agricultural companies and the first MTZ branded trade and service center was opened in the Urals.
