MINSK, 2 February (BelTA) – The 23rd international architecture and construction exhibition BUDEXPO 2021 will take place in Minsk on 17-20 March, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Union of Architects.

“BUDEXPO has been one of the largest exhibition projects in the construction sector of Belarus for more than twenty years and annually opens the construction season. The key area of the exhibition in 2021 will be modern, attractive, affordable, comfortable housing and urban environment. The exhibition topics reflect the whole range of issues related to architecture and urban planning - from development plans of settlements, architectural concepts of neighborhood development to smart management systems and landscaping,” reads the report of the Belarusian Union of Architects.

The exhibition will include business events featuring a diverse array of specialists, seminars, workshops and lectures, presentations of creative ideas and projects, exhibition of works by young architects and designers.

According to Belarusian Union of Architects, participation in BUDEXPO, which is largely devoted to architecture and urban planning, offers a good opportunity not only to get familiar with modern architecture in different regions of the country, but also hold discussions on the most important issues. “The time has come for a broad discussion on architecture, raising the prestige of the profession, copyright, the relationship with public administration, taking public opinion into account in the formation of conditions for urban development, education and training of professionals. The effectiveness of this work will depend, among other things, on the joint efforts of the professional community,” said the Belarusian Union of Architects.

The exhibition is organized by the National Exhibition Center BelExpo together with the Architecture and Construction Ministry, the Belarusian Union of Architects, the Union of Builders of Belarus. The event will be supported by the Council of Ministers, specialized agencies and organizations. “The organizers will take all the necessary measures to comply with the sanitary and epidemiological standards and recommendations, as well as to organize safe participation and attendance at the event,” representatives of the union stressed.
