Minsk to host Belarus Entrepreneurship Week on 18-24 March

MINSK, 15 March (BelTA) – The fourth edition of the Belarus Entrepreneurship Week will take place in Minsk on 18-24 March, BelTA learned from the National Legal Internet Portal.

The forum will be held by the National Confederation of Entrepreneurship together with the Economy Ministry, the ministry’s department of entrepreneurship, the Belarusian Fund of Financial Support for Entrepreneurs and regional business associations.

The forum will feature roundtable meetings and panel discussions, training seminars and conferences, field-specific sessions, speeches from top managers and business leaders of the country. Participants will talk over the most important issues and priority areas for business activity development in Belarus.

The forum will highlight such issues as availability of financial instruments for business development, foreign economic activity of SMEs, the role of small and medium-sized business in regional development, matters related to the regulation of the SMEs activity, private-nonprofit partnership and also business development opportunities in the system of startups.

The key event of the Belarus Entrepreneurship Week in 2019 will be the national business forum “Development of Belarus Entrepreneurship: Strategy and Tactics” which will be held at the National Library on 20 March. The forum will present the results of the Business Optimism Index (IDO) survey, an analytical study that shows how business owners evaluate the conditions created in the country for entrepreneurship development, and also the draft National Business Platform of Belarus, a document containing proposals to improve business climate in Belarus.
