Minsk to host Atomexpo Belarus 19 to 21 April

MINSK, 10 February (BelTA) – The national exhibition center BelExpo in Minsk will play host to the international expo and conference Atomexpo Belarus from 19 to 21 April, BelTA learned from the Atomexpo press service.

“This is a large-scale exhibition project playing a special role in the development and promotion of nuclear power in Belarus. The expo will provide a platform for demonstrating new technologies and equipment, solving industry-related matters, analyzing the development prospects, and establishing partner relations,” the press service said.

The business program includes a conference on the development of nuclear power engineering with a plenary meeting, sections, and roundtables. The conference will discuss the construction of the Belarusian nuclear power plant (BelNPP), including the equipment delivery requirements and programs for purchasing services and equipment, building technologies, materials, equipment for NPP construction, social acceptance of nuclear power, cutting-edge equipment for NPPs and nuclear power industry, and the development of nuclear infrastructure.

The participants will demonstrate the latest technologies used to design, build, operate, and secure nuclear power plants. This year’s edition of the expo will feature the following sections: Nuclear Power Plant Design and Construction. Project Management; Management and Control Systems; Safe Operation of Nuclear Power Plants; Nuclear Engineering, Machines and Equipment for Construction of Nuclear Power Plants; Materials and Technologies for Nuclear Power Industry; Management of Radioactive Waste and Spent Nuclear Fuel; Radiation Protection; Pipelines and Valves, Electrical and Lifting Equipment.

Representatives of nuclear power industry and related companies, research agencies, services and equipment suppliers, and businessmen are invited to take part in the expo.

The international expo and conference AtomExpo Belarus will be held on the initiative of the Energy Ministry of Belarus with the support of the Russian state nuclear energy industry corporation Rosatom.
