Minsk Kristall plans to advance to U.S. market

MINSK, 14 March (BelTA) – The Belarusian distillery Minsk Kristall has plans to advance to the market of the United States, Director General of the company Stanislav Iodis told the media on 14 March, BelTA has learned.

“At the moment we are selling to 23 countries, including to China, Vietnam, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Latin America, Europe, and many more. Vodka is mainly in demand, and we are looking for options to expand the geography of exports. We are currently working hard to advance to the United States. Pilot shipments have been made to Panama and Israel,” Stanislav Iodis said.

Russia is the second largest market for the Belarusian alcoholic products. Minsk Kristall opened a subsidiary company in Moscow. Agreements were concluded with 56 Russian regions, including large retail chains.

“We have a multiproduct and modernized enterprise that became a managing holding company in 2015. This decision has proven effective over the past years,” said Stanislav Iodis. The company won the Grand Prix at the 25th international exhibition for food, beverages and food raw materials Prodexpo 2018 in Moscow.

The company is busy with developing new products, expanding the partner portfolio. Several months ago, Minsk Kristall went through the certification to obtain the Natural Product status. It also got an international food safety certificate.

On 14 March, the Minsk Town Hall hosted a ceremony to award the winners of the Best Goods of Belarus competition. The Best in the Region Award, established in 2016, went to four Minsk enterprises, including Minsk Crystal.

Minsk Kristall is the oldest and largest producer of alcoholic beverages in Belarus. In July 2015, the president of Belarus signed a decree “On establishing the Belarusian alcoholic holding company”. It included eight organizations of Belgospishcheprom Concern.
