MAKS 2019 to feature over 80 Belarusian defense products

MINSK, 26 August (BelTA) – Over 80 samples of products made by Belarusian defense industry companies will be presented during the international aviation and space salon MAKS 2019 in Zhukovsky, Moscow Oblast, BelTA has learned.

MAKS 2019 will take place on 27 August – 1 September. The Belarusian exposition has been organized by ZAO BelTechExport. The Belarusian defense industry will be represented by about ten companies, including 2566 Radioelectronic Armament Repair Plant, Volatavto, ATE Engineering, and the holding company Integral. Independent expositions will be deployed by 558 Aircraft Repair Plant, the design bureau Display, and Defense Initiatives Company.

The Belarusian companies will demonstrate over 80 samples of products for the military during MAKS 2019. The product choice will include portable diagnostics equipment such as the curve-tracing oscilloscope for volt amperage and impedance signatures Assist ASA. Potential customers will be able to take a closer look at radio electronic systems designed to protect aerial vehicles from guided land-based and airborne weapons, rugged displays for aircraft and for air traffic control, and other products.

Belarusian defense companies will also demonstrate their repair, maintenance, and upgrade capabilities with regard to various types of aircraft, the ability to make components for aerial vehicles, the ability to upgrade multiple-launch rocket systems of the Uragan variety. The latest products on display will include the transport and load vehicle TZM 9T452MB and the modernized launch vehicle BM 9P140MB based on the off-road chassis MAZ-631705.

The Belarusian delegation will be led by Deputy Chairman of the State Military Industrial Committee of Belarus Dmitry Pantus. He is expected to hold meetings and negotiations with representatives of defense agencies and defense companies of Russia, Kazakhstan, and China on the sidelines of MAKS 2019.

MAKS 2019 is the region’s largest aerospace technology expo. As many as 827 companies from 33 countries have confirmed their participation in the expo. Chinese companies will deploy the largest exposition. Nine national pavilions will be available.
