MINSK, 16 December (BelTA) – There should be no complaints in the course of export of Belarusian goods and services to the Russian market. Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko made the statement during a conference held on 16 December to discuss Belarus-Russia cooperation, BelTA has learned.

Aleksandr Lukashenko identified the coordination of actions in response to the growing pressure of sanctions as an important matter in Belarus-Russia cooperation. “The measures the Russian side takes should in no way impede the transit of Belarusian products to third countries via Russia. There should also be no complaints in the course of export of Belarusian goods and services to the Russian market,” the president stressed.

Aleksandr Lukashenko reminded Belarusian officials that Russia still forbids the import of products made by about 50 Belarusian enterprises, primarily food producers. “I should tell you that our government should be blamed for it, too. We simply don’t care much about small enterprises… But such things must not happen at all. They run contrary to the ideology of our relations [with Russia],” he said.

During the conference the president expects to hear exhaustive answers to all the questions and proposals regarding future actions. “But our decisions have to be prompt and thoroughly calibrated without any procrastination,” he stressed.
