Lukashenko urges to maintain ties with EU

MINSK, 31 July (BelTA) – Leaving the European market and turning away from the European Union is not an option, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said during a meeting with the heads of Belarusian diplomatic missions, BelTA has learned.

“Leaving the European market and simply turning away from the EU is not an option for us. They are our neighbors, and we don't choose them. Opportunities are opening up both in Europe and across the ocean,” the head of state said.
