VITEBSK, 15 July (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko expressed confidence that people’s income will continue growing as he met with representatives of Vitebsk Oblast on 15 July, BelTA has learned.
Speaking about Vitebsk Oblast, the head of state said that more than 103,000 families have improved their living conditions since 1995. Of them almost 8,000 are families with many children. The number of low-income families reduced from almost 50% to 6% in 2019. “This is a very good figure. This is an international standard. So this is good progress. Real incomes of the population have grown almost seven times, salaries and pensions - nine times,” the president said.
“Of course, this is not what it should be. There will be more. I am sure of it," the Belarusian leader stressed.
