“Baranovichi is a special town. It is important to bear in mind that the town is located at the crossroads of all pathways, including our main road going from China to the west of Europe. Nowadays we should put it this way. And this direction, via railways, air and road transportation, will be strengthening,” Alexander Lukashenko remarked.

He remarked that Baranovichi District is one of the biggest towns in Brest Oblast. Therefore, it is in the center of attention. Last year the production output, export of goods and services, foreign direct investments increased here. The level of unemployment stays rather low.

According to the head of state, this year the district will have to mobilize all resources to reach a new level of development in the economy and social infrastructure. In his opinion, the region has everything for it. “It is essential to boost agricultural production, improve financial indicators of enterprises (this is the main thing) and create new jobs,” Alexander Lukashenko said.

The president asked what should be done for the sustainable economic growth of the town and the district, what reserves can be used to improve social and living standards in Baranovichi and in rural areas. “If there are any problems, we need well-through concrete solutions. People are waiting for the timely resolution of topical issues, integrity, openness, sincerity and especially justice from us,” the head of state stressed.

Alexander Lukashenko said that he had thoroughly analyzed people’s questions received during the Big Conversation with the President. “I’ve heard them, I’ve read everything, all good and bad things on all forums, social networks, official, opposition and other mass media. I’ve heard everybody,” he said.
