Lukashenko: China-Belarus Industrial Park should be a key part of Silk Road project

MINSK, 17 April (BelTA) – The Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park Great Stone should be an important platform of the initiative of China President Xi Jinping to build the Economic Belt of the Silk Road connecting Asia and Europe, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said as he met with Chinese Deputy Minister of Commerce Zhong Shan on 17 April, BelTA has learned.

Alexander Lukashenko met with Chinese Deputy Minister of Commerce Zhong Shan The head of state emphasized that Belarus supports the initiative and is ready to take part in the implementation of all provisions of Xi Jinping’s concept One Belt, One Road (the Silk Road Economic Belt and the Maritime Silk Road of the 21st Century).

Zhong Shan, for his part, remarked that the Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park is a strategic project of bilateral cooperation. “The sides unanimously believe that this is a pilot project in the joint formation of the Silk Road Economic Belt,” Zhong Shan said.
