MINSK, 18 December (BelTA) – At least 25 major investment projects in the industrial sector should be implemented in the upcoming five-year period, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said in his Address to the Belarusian people and the Parliament on 18 December, BelTA has learned.
“At least 25 major investment projects in the industrial sector should be implemented in the upcoming five-year period,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said. “We have promising ideas and developments: the creation of a Belarusian train in Fanipol, a domestic aircraft in Baranovichi, a round baler and a milking robot, and the restoration of shipbuilding expertise at the Pinsk plant.”
“The proposals for the petrochemical complex still lack ambition. There have been no breakthrough projects following the modernization of the oil refineries,” the Belarusian leader added.
The head of state emphasized that all these production facilities are extremely important for Belarus’ future, and therefore it is necessary to put all the mentioned construction projects under hands-on management.
