MINSK, 28 January (BelTA) – Belarus supports African partners in their efforts to produce food from domestic resources and to be independent of external factors, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said as he met with a delegation of the Pan-African Parliament in Minsk on 28 January, BelTA learned.

“We are doing it and we will do it not only by supplying our products, but also by transferring technologies to you and creating appropriate enterprises there,” the head of state said.

“Since 2020, Zimbabwe has been working with us on a successful agricultural mechanization program. You should be assured that we will continue our drive in this regard if it is to your advantage. Egypt, Algeria, Mozambique, Ethiopia, Kenya, Nigeria and other countries are interested in the Belarusian experience in the development of the agricultural sector,” the president said.

Aleksandr Lukashenko invited African delegations to attend the Belagro international agricultural exhibition in Minsk in June this year.
