Latvia plans two business visits to Belarus in 2015
RIGA, 4 February (BelTA) – The Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry plans two big business visits to Belarus in 2015, counselor of the regional development department of the Latvian chamber of commerce Girts Kronbergs told media at the Liepaja City Council, BelTA has learned.
“Two big delegations of Latvia are expected to visit Belarus in 2015. We also expect to welcome at least one delegation from Belarus,” the official said. In his words, face-to-face communication is always preceded by everyday work and permanent cooperation.
Businessmen of Latvia paid a visit to Belarus in October 2014. “We have been closely cooperating with all the regions. I have concluded agreements with every regional department of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. We send our delegations to learn about Belarus, its cities, including Minsk, Gomel, Vitebsk, Brest, conduct regular business matchmaking sessions,” the counselor said.
The tour to Latvia for Belarusian journalists completed on 3 February, during which the representatives of the Belarusian mass media held meetings with the authorities of Liepaja and Yelgava. The event was organized in association with the Embassy of Latvia to Belarus.
