MINSK, 24 August (BelTA) – A meeting with experts of the International Union of Notaries took place at premises of the Belarusian Justice Ministry, the Ministry’s Press Secretary Olga Murashkovskaya told BelTA.

The main purpose of the meeting was to make the international experts familiar with how notary offices in Belarus operate.

Representatives of the Belarusian Justice Ministry explained how notary offices operate and how their operation is overseen. In turn, the experts spoke in positive terms about the notary system reform that was carried out in 2014. It was noted that the Belarusian notary system had achieved significant results within rather a short period of time.

As a result of the visit the International Notary Cooperation Commission of the International Union of Notaries will prepare a report that will be used to consider the possibility of the Belarusian notary system joining the Union.
