International economic forum kicks off in Vitebsk on 16 May
VITEBSK, 16 May (BelTA) - The 8th edition of the international economic forum Innovations. Investments. Prospects is opening in Vitebsk on 16 May, BelTA learned from the Vitebsk Oblast Executive Committee.
The main events of the forum will take place in the Summer Amphitheater and the adjoining area. All in all, the forum will bring together 81 business delegations and representatives of the diplomatic corps from 23 countries.
Top on the agenda will be development and promotion of innovative technology, implementation of joint investment projects, manufacturing of hi-tech products for export, as well as import substitution, digitalization of the economic sector, special economic zones, clusters in science, business and education.
The two-day program of the forum will offer local companies an opportunity to sign cooperation agreements with foreign regions. The program features various exhibitions, a business match-making session, the WorldSkills youth contest of vocational skills, the conference on the role of the education system in innovative development. The participants of the forum will tour local companies and other facilities. A pavilion showcasing foreign products will be set up at the forum for the first time. In this pavilion foreign partner regions will present their best companies and know-how. There will be a separate presentation of the most popular food products of Vitebsk Oblast.
The forum is arranged by the Vitebsk Oblast Executive Committee and the Vitebsk Oblast Marketing Center.
