Indian partners will appreciate business environment in Belarus, Myatlikov says

MINSK, 4 June (BelTA) - The business conditions in Belarus will earn praise of Indian partners, Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) Mikhail Myatlikov said when opening the Belarusian-Indian Business Forum which is running at the National Library of Belarus, BelTA has learned.

"Today Belarus will present its investment opportunities and Belarusian export support tools. I am sure that the Indian partners will express a strong approval of the favorable business conditions created in our country," Mikhail Myatlikov said.

According to him, attending the event are representatives of about 40 Indian companies and more than 100 Belarusian enterprises. "These include the light industry, mechanical engineering and instrument-making, healthcare, petrochemistry and pharmaceuticals, energy and IT sectors. The Indian business delegation includes representatives of the world famous film industry,” Mikhail Myatlikov said.

Representatives of the Indian delegation visited OAO BelAZ, the flagship of the Belarusian mechanical engineering. Businessmen from India were also briefed about the possibilities and advantages of the Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park Great Stone.

The Belarusian participants will get familiar with the Make in India program. "The example of Belarus’ participation in the program is Belarus-designed medical equipment which will soon go into production in India. It is on display in the Hall of the National Library which is hosting the forum. The exhibition also features new Belarusian innovations and investment projects in the field of pharmaceuticals with the participation of Indian companies. The total sum of investments is more than $50 million," said Mikhail Myatlikov.

The program of the forum will feature talks between businessmen of Belarus and India, singing of contracts. The Indian visitors will have an opportunity to visit Belagro expo which presents the latest achievements in the field of Belarusian agriculture.
