Growth trend in Belarusian-Slovenian investment cooperation

MINSK, 29 September (BelTA) – Belarusian-Slovenian investment cooperation demonstrates a growth trend, BelTA learned from Stanislav Rashchan, Director General for Economic Diplomacy in the Slovenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The official remarked that the session of the Belarusian-Slovenian commission on trade, economic, scientific and technical cooperation had been effective while the Belarusian-Slovenian business forum had been productive. “We have opened new chapters in our cooperation. I am confident they will be successfully realized,” said Stanislav Rashchan. The sides are working on a draft agreement on the mutual protection of investments.

According to the official, Slovenian money is invested in Belarus while Belarusian investments are represented in Slovenia in small amounts. “The volume of investments on both sides constantly grows,” noted Stanislav Rashchan. He also said that direct air service between Belarus and Slovenia for the sake of increasing tourism traffic is under consideration.

Apart from that, Stanislav Rashchan mentioned Belarusian-Slovenian contacts in the area of culture and art as promising.
