Great Stone park in final stage of construction

MINSK, 9 September (BelTA) – The construction of the infrastructure of the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone is nearing completion, Deputy Economy Minister, the interim head of the administration of the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone Alexander Yaroshenko told BelTA before the beginning of the workshop on the alignment of the manufacturing capacities of Belarus and China on 9 September.

“The construction of infrastructure facilities is in the final stage. They are almost 100% ready,” Alexander Yaroshenko said.

The official added that several residents of the park have already started building their own facilities. Alexander Yaroshenko pointed out that China Merchants Group is busy erecting warehouses, an exhibition center and a business center. “The construction of the facilities is well underway. We hope that the work will be finished by year’s end,” he said.

Chengdu Xinzhu Silk Road Development has also started building its facilities. The company will produce supercapacitors. “Preparatory works are underway at the construction site of the Chinese company Zoomlion. Overall, the residents show a high level of activity,” Alexander Yaroshenko said.

He added that the site of the industrial park Great Stone has recently hosted a governmental delegation and a delegation of Chinese companies led by Deputy Chairwoman of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission under the State Council of the People’s Republic of China Huang Danhua. “We view these Chinese companies as potential residents. We offered them preferential treatment, promoted our park, and they showed interest,” Alexander Yaroshenko said.
