Great potential in Belarus-Malaysia relations

MINSK, 15 March (BelTA) – Top officials of the Belarusian and Malaysian ministries of foreign affairs have exchanged congratulatory addresses in view of the 25th anniversary of Belarusian-Malaysian diplomatic relations, representatives of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told BelTA.

In his address Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei remarked that over the course of 25 years both sides had seen mutual trade grow. “I am confident that further expansion of the productive dialogue between the ministries of foreign affairs of the two countries will positively influence the implementation of the existing rich potential of Belarusian-Malaysian cooperation,” stressed Vladimir Makei.

In turn, Malaysian Minister of Foreign Affairs Anifah Aman noted that the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations is an important milestone in the development of Belarusian-Malaysian ties. He drew attention to cooperation in trade. “I sincerely hope that Malaysia and Belarus will use this positive impulse to further broaden cooperation in various spheres,” he stated.
