MINSK, 3 November (BelTA) – As much as $500,000 worth of Belarusian goods have been sold via the Chinese platforms Douyin and Jingdong since July. Deputy Director General of SZAO Industrial Park Development Company Kirill Koroteyev mentioned the figure after solemnly presenting registration certificates to six new resident companies of the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone. The ceremony took place as part of a series of events timed to October Revolution Day, BelTA has learned.

Kirill Koroteyev noted that Belarus’ national pavilion and the industrial park’s pavilion will be opened at the 5th China International Import Expo in Shanghai one of these days. The executive noted: “It will be the fifth time we are going to participate. We endeavor to show something new every time. Last year we presented an updated presidential decree concerning the industrial park. Our digital pavilion will be presented this time in addition to the six resident companies that have been registered in the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone today. The pavilion has been successfully operating on the platforms Douyin and Jingdong since July. Since then it has acquired over 500,000 subscribers and the volume of sales has reached $500,000. We intend to set up a separate trade company, which we are also going to present at the event in Shanghai.”

According to the source, the most popular products sold via the Belarusian digital storefront include sweets, cookies, snacks (Spartak, Vitba). An industrial sector of the pavilion is getting ready to open. An education and entertainment section about Belarus has been opened as well. It features short videos about the history, traditions, way of life, and the modern life of Belarusians. The number of subscribers keeps growing, Kirill Koroteyev stressed.
