GOMEL, 27 August (BelTA) – In the first half of 2020, the Belarusian agricultural machinery manufacturer Gomselmash increased sales of harvesters to Russia’s Omsk Oblast more than five times year-on-year, BelTA learned from the website of the enterprise.

Four grain harvesters GS12 operate at the Kulikovo agricultural enterprise in Omsk Oblast. The machines were jointly produced by Gomselmash and the Russian agricultural machinery manufacturer Bryanskselmash and sold via the distributor Sibirskaya Baza.

“The machines are perfect for harvesting wheat, barley, oat, and other crops. Some 5,100 hectares are allocated to these crops at the enterprise, so the harvesters have plenty of work. Wheat harvesting is the hardest task as wheat occupies 2,700 hectares. Another 400 hectares are planted to barley, and 300 hectares to oat,” Gomselmash noted. The harvesting campaign at Kulikovo is in full swing. The enterprise threshes around 100 tonnes of grain a day.

The Belarusian holding company Gomselmash is one of the largest manufacturers of agricultural machines. It is one of the leaders on the world market of harvesters and other sophisticated agricultural machines. The company produces the lineups of grain and forage harvesters, ear corn harvesters, potato harvesters, mowers, and other agricultural machines. Its harvesters are used in fields of Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Czechia, Slovakia, Romania, Bulgaria, Argentina, Brazil, China, South Korea, and Baltic states. Gomselmash operates an extensive distribution chain, joint ventures, and assembly enterprises.
