MINSK, 17 July (BelTA) – It is absolutely possible to increase trade with Kazakhstan up to $1 billion, Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko said as he met with Prime Minister Askar Mamin of Kazakhstan on the sidelines of the meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Minsk on 17 July, BelTA has learned.
“The trade statistics suggests that the goal set by the heads of state to boost the bilateral trade up to $1 billion is absolutely feasible; we have approached it. Naturally, the pandemic was a setback for the trade as business activity slowed down, however, this does not raise much concern. We need to make every effort to overcome the slowdown as fast as possible,” Roman Golovchenko said.
In his words, Belarus is determined to expand bilateral trade on equal conditions and is interested in joint projects.
