Ghana seeks to use Belarus’ technological potential to boost its own economy

MINSK, 8 April (BelTA) – Ghana is eager to utilize Belarus’ technological potential for the development of its own economy. The matter was discussed during the first round of the Belarusian-Ghanaian political consultations, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During the consultations, the Ghanaian side thanked Belarus for the long-standing cooperation in training of specialists at Belarusian educational establishments. “The government of Ghana also showed interest in using Belarus’ technological potential to ensure sustainable development of its own economy,” the press service said.

Besides, the parties exchanged views on the current issues on the bilateral agenda including those concerning the cooperation in politics, economy, education and healthcare. They also talked over the ways to improve the legislative framework of the Belarusian-Ghanaian relations. “The sides reached an understanding with respect to the advisability of a more active coordination of actions in the international arena with Ghana which is one of the most influential and reputable members of the African Union and the Economic Community of West African States,” the press service added.
