Furniture 2016 international expo opens in Minsk

MINSK, 16 September (BelTA) – The international expo and fair Furniture 2016 opened in Minsk on 16 September, BelTA learned from the Bellesbumprom Concern press service.

“Partaking in the expo are some 200 furniture producers from nine countries. Traditionally, the exposition of Belarusian products is the largest one,” the press service noted.

Bellesbumprom Concern said that some 20 Belarusian furniture manufacturers will showcase their best products at Furniture 2016. Belarus is represented at the expo by such flagship enterprises as Pinskdrev Holding Company, Gomeldrev, Molodechnomebel, Slonimmebel, Bobruiskmebel, and Gomel Furniture Factory Progress. “A separate section is dedicated to wood slab manufactured by Ivatsevichidrev, Rechitsadrev, Mostovdrev, and several other enterprises producing a wide lineup of chipboard and fiberboard,” the press service added.

The program of the expo includes business seminars and workshops. This year, the participants of Furniture 2016 will focus on marketing and effective advertising of Belarus-made goods. Bellesbumprom Concern has plans to hold business meetings with representatives of a number of foreign companies to discuss opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation in woodworking and furniture production. Besides, the participants of the expo will compete for the titles Best Furniture Producer 2015 and Best Furniture of Belarus 2015.

Furniture 2016 is the largest expo of furniture products in the Republic of Belarus. Partaking in the international event are enterprises manufacturing furniture and accessories, wholesale and retail companies of Belarus and other CIS member states, and foreign businessmen.
