SHANGHAI, 5 November (BelTA) – Flax as Belarus’ treasure is the central theme of the contry’s national exhibition presented at the 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE 2025), which opened in Shanghai on 5 November, BelTA has learned.
Visitors can fully appreciate that Belarus is one of the world's largest producers of flax fiber and that flax-based products are globally recognized as unique, with no analogues in terms of composition, quality, or origin.
Belarusian food, agricultural products, high-tech equipment and information technologies are some of the highlights that participants and visitors to this large-scale event have already been exploring in detail.
During the event, Deputy Director of Belinterexpo of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Aleksandrina Utyupina noted that Belarusian goods are attracting significant attention from visitors and participants. She believes the exposition will contribute to strengthening economic ties, expanding investment cooperation across various industries and sectors, including within the framework of high-level agreements and the joint agenda of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
Undoubtedly, Belarus’ participation will play an important role in the comprehensive promotion of Belarus-China trade and economic cooperation.
A key event will be the Hongqiao International Economic Forum. Its main theme is Opening Up New Opportunities, Cooperation for a Shared Future. The forum will focus on digital innovation, green development, multilateral cooperation, and the openness of the global economy.
The grand opening of the Belarus National Exposition will take place on 6 November.
