First stone ceremony in Minsk Mir project in September

MINSK, 22 June (BelTA) – The first stone ceremony as part of the project to build the multifunctional facility Minsk Mir will take place in September, BelTA learned from Dragomir Karic, member of the Serbian parliament, honorary consul of Belarus in Belgrade, on 22 June.

According to Dragomir Karic, the construction process will proceed alongside the designing of new stages of the project. Cutting-edge civil engineering technologies will be utilized. “Human, administrative, and financial resources are available and we are going to very actively and dynamically advance this project,” stressed the source.

Dragomir Karic pointed out that an international financial center will be at the heart of the project. The MP remarked that most prestigious financial corporations, banks, insurance and leasing companies with internationally recognized names and quality standards will be attracted to Minsk Mir. The Belarus president backed the proposal in favor of Belarusian financial companies and banks working alongside world giants in Minsk Mir.

Dragomir Karic said: “The financial situation is not good in many countries at present. Belarus is a diamond in geopolitical, strategic and practical sense where one can calmly work, where there are guarantees and political stability. It means there is a future. There are no disturbing fluctuations here that make one think hard about tomorrow. There is a state strategy and we are confident that the world’s largest financial giants will work in Minsk.”

The project will crown cooperation and brotherly relations between Belarus and Serbia, said Dragomir Karic.

He also said that the project’s concept had won most prestigious awards. Construction workers and engineers from former Yugoslavian republics will be involved in the project’s implementation upon the initiative of the Belarus president.

Dragomir Karic assured Belarusian citizens that the project is live, goes on, and will be advanced to perfection.
