Experts, business invited to work on Belarus’ social and economic program for 2021-2025

MINSK, 25 May (BelTA) – The Economy Ministry of Belarus has invited experts and businessmen to work on the country’s social and economic development program for 2021-2025, BelTA learned from the press service of the Economy Ministry.

The economy minister approved ten working groups to work in the following areas: Institutional Improvement, Financial Support and Macroeconomic Regulation, Industry, Agriculture and Forestry, Construction, Transport, Energy, Housing and Utility Services, Environment and Energy Saving. Separate groups will deal with issues related to employment and income, healthcare, education, and tourism.

The groups include representatives of government bodies, business, banking sector, science and education, and experts. Among them are Director of the Business Union of Entrepreneurs and Employers named after Professor M.S. Kunyavski Zhanna Tarasevich, First Vice President of the Minsk Union of Entrepreneurs and Employers Viktor Margelov, Director of the Center for Economic Research BEROC Pavel Daneika, Deputy Chairman of the Belarusian Scientific and Industrial Association Georgy Grits.

The working groups will decide on the priorities and measures to achieve the objectives set for each area. Discussions and developments will be the basis of the draft social and economic development program for 2021-2025.
