Chinese companies eager to advance R&D cooperation with Belarus

MINSK, 9 September (BelTA) – Chinese companies are interested in advancing scientific and technical cooperation with Belarus. Ways to expand partnership were discussed during the meeting of First Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (NASB) Sergei Chizhik with representatives of top Chinese corporations and top executives of the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone on 9 September, the NASB press service told BelTA.

According to the source, the sides discussed ways to expand promising avenues of cooperation of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus within the framework of the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone. Presentations of innovative products by NASB divisions were also discussed. “Chinese companies represent a good example of how science can be used to produce good commercial results. The National Academy of Sciences of Belarus is ready to work with Chinese corporations to commercialize R&D products in many areas,” said the source.

At present the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus is carrying out projects worth about $4 million together with Chinese partners. “But the figure is insufficient.
