MINSK, 11 May (BelTA) – The China-Belarus Industrial Park Great Stone hosted the launch ceremony for the joint Chinese-Belarusian Design Institute, BelTA has learned.
The institute has been set up by Institute Belgosproekt and Beijing JianYi Investment Development (Group) co.
“When developing the park, we have realized that we need to adapt our construction projects and Chinese standards which differ from ours. In some points the difference is big. To make sure the design work is successful, a decision has been taken to set up the joint institute, in which 60% of shares belongs to Chinese partners, 40% to Belarus. The institute leases the area in our office building to execute orders from our resident companies,” Head of the Administration of the Great Stone Industrial Park Alexander Yaroshenko said.
He stressed that the joint venture will not be a monopolist in the park. Any design institute of Belarus may participate in tenders to develop projects for our park. We want to harness the experience of all our design organizations,” Alexander Yaroshenko noted.
General Director of Institute Belgosproekt Sergei Grigoryev said that the joint work will help reduce the time on preparation of the design documentation for the facilities in the park and also the cost of the work. “We used to adapt the Chinese projects, and this adaptation required major changes. If we work together and take into account customer needs and Belarusian regulations from the start, we will be able to halve the time we spend on projects. In addition, we will apply the technologies that our Chinese partners use, including cloud-based technology. This too will speed up work on projects,” he noted.
The joint venture will work not only on projects in Great Stone but throughout the country. “We will participate in the tenders like any other design organization. We hope that our modern approach and new technologies will be an example to follow for all design organizations,” Sergei Grigoryev noted.
The official launch ceremony for the institute took place during the China-Belarus Industrial Park Day celebrations.
