China's Xian hosts Belarus-China cooperation forum

MINSK, 27 March (BelTA) – The Belarusian-Chinese cooperation forum took place in Xian, Shaanxi Province, China on 27 March, BelTA learned from the Belarusian embassy in China.

The event was held during the visit of the Belarusian delegation led by Deputy Head of the Belarus President Administration Nikolai Snopkov who made a greeting speech at the forum. Among the speakers were also Shaanxi Province Vice Governor Zhao Gang and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to China Kirill Rudy. Taking part in the meeting were about 150 representatives of official and business circles of Shaanxi Province.

The forum featured the presentation of the country’s economic and investment potential and also the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone. China presented its ecological zone Chanba which is home to an international trade and exhibition center with Belarusian goods and a free trade zone.

At the end of the forum an agreement of intent on cooperation was signed between the ecological zone Chanba and the China-Belarus Industrial Park. The forum was organized by the Belarusian embassy in China, the Shaanxi Province Department of Commerce with the participation of Huahe International and SZAO Industrial Park Development Company.

The Belarusian delegation met with the leadership of the Shaanxi Province Department of Commerce, Chinese CASC, and other stakeholders. The parties considered the possibilities of developing a subpark of Shaanxi Province in the Great Stone.
