China’s CITIC Construction projects in Belarus discussed

MINSK, 18 October (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to China Yuri Senko met with Yang Jianqiang, First Deputy President of CITIC Construction Co., Ltd., on 17 October, BelTA learned from the Belarusian embassy in Beijing.

The parties discussed the progress of bilateral cooperation projects in the promising areas identified by Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko during his meeting with Yang Jianqiang in Minsk on 22 September.

The international company CITIC Construction Co., Ltd. is a subsidiary of China's largest state-run financial corporation CITIC Group, which is among the top 500 companies of the world. The company is currently involved in a number of investment projects in Belarus.

Its business covers turnkey construction projects, including industrial, infrastructure, and sports facilities, export-import deliveries of mechanical and electronic equipment. The company implements projects in the CIS countries, Southeast Asia, South America, the Middle East and Africa. In 2007, it was one of the first Chinese engineering companies to start operations in Belarus.
