China interested in buying quality food from Belarus

LOGOISK DISTRICT, 6 May (BelTA) – China is interested in buying quality food from Belarus, BelTA learned from Zhang Ke, an employee of the Guangdong Radio and TV Station, who is in Belarus on a media trip.

According to the source, the quality of Belarusian food is very high. It is exactly what China needs. “As we visited agribusiness complexes in Minsk Oblast, we learned that a large amount of Belarusian products are shipped to other countries. We learned that Belarus is an export-oriented country with a well-developed agriculture. In turn, China pays close attention to controlling the quality of food products. We have to study your experience in agriculture,” said the reporter.

In his words, Belarusian foods in Chinese stores are few and far between for now, however, during the latest meeting with representatives of Chinese mass media Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said that the Belarusian side is now working to get access to the Chinese market. “I hope that after all the formalities are finished, your quality products will be available to our citizens,” noted Zhang Ke.

The reporter also mentioned that during the meeting Alexander Lukashenko had answered most versatile questions concerning the development of bilateral relations and interaction between regions. Practical avenues of cooperation were in focus.

Zhang Ke said he liked the media trip thanks to its diversity. The Chinese reporters have been able to visit a number of Belarusian companies and joint ventures, sample products, and ask questions. “Every place has its own air. As a general impression about your country I can say that life here is very calm and paced. It is easy to stay and work here,” said the reporter.
