China, Belarus, Russia to cooperate in materials sciences, aerospace technology

BEIJING, 14 June (BelTA-Xinhua) – China, Belarus, and Russia have agreed to take cooperation in the sphere of materials sciences and aerospace technology to the next level. The relevant documents were signed during the international conference on problems of integrating production, education, innovations, and their implementation in the city of Nanchang, the administrative capital of Jiangxi Province in China’s east.

The event was organized by the National Center for the Development of Educational Institutions under the Chinese Education Ministry. The event gathered over 200 representatives of universities, companies, and research institutions from China, Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan. The specialists exchanged opinions about scientific exchange programs, R&D cooperation in the sphere of aerospace technologies and new materials technologies.

An agreement on cooperation between the Nanchang Aviation University, the Belarusian State Technological University, and the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics was signed during the conference.

Chinese Deputy Education Minister Sun Yao stated that there is a good foundation for R&D cooperation between China, Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan. He noted that the conference should serve as a platform for expanding multilateral international cooperation.

Rector of the Nanchang Aviation University Zhou Chuangbing noted that the university is interested in attracting specialists from other countries, particularly from Belarus, Russia, and Ukraine. An international innovative cooperation institute will be established on the basis of the university with a view to stepping up cooperation with these countries.

The international conference on problems of integrating production, education, innovations, and their implementation is scheduled to take place in two stages on 12-15 June. The second stage was opened in the city of Harbin, the administrative capital of Heilongjiang Province in China’s northeast, on 14 June.
