Bulgaria invites Belarus to carry out joint projects in automotive industry

Photo by MFAMINSK, 10 November (BelTA) – Bulgaria offers Belarus to implement joint projects in the automotive industry, Bulgarian Deputy Economy Minister Aleksandar Manolev told the media after a ceremony to sign the final protocol of the seventh session of the Belarus-Bulgaria intergovernmental commission on cooperation in trade, economy, science, and technology on 10 November, BelTA has learned.

Aleksandar Manolev views the session as another proof of good relations between the two countries. “A Bulgarian business delegation has studied the opportunities for new joint projects,” he said. In his opinion, the bottom line is that both sides have an interest in further exploitation of their economic potential.

The deputy minister underlined that around 80 companies with Bulgarian capital operate in Belarus today. They primarily focus on dairy production, agriculture, and restaurant business.

The official drew special attention to strengthening bilateral cooperation in the automotive industry. He stressed that the Bulgarian government is eager to provide investors with an additional incentive and called on Belarusians to invest in Bulgaria.

Summing up the results of the session and the visit to Minsk, Aleksandar Manolev remarked:”There are many topics for cooperation but the main thing is our mutual interest. This is why I believe that the tasks to expand Belarus-Bulgaria trade and economic contacts Belarus will be fulfilled”.
