BUCE to facilitate Belarusian agricultural export to Russia’s Bryansk Oblast

MINSK, 15 February (BelTA) – The Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange (BUCE) intends to help export Belarusian agricultural products to Russia’s Bryansk Oblast, the BUCE press service told BelTA.
Possibilities of using BUCE’s trade platforms as one of the main channels to export Belarusian agribusiness products to Bryansk Oblast were presented during the online forum Commonwealth 2021. The forum was dedicated to the development of Belarusian-Russian regional cooperation in agribusiness.
Viktor Dereshov, Head of the Agricultural Products Office at BUCE, noted that the interest of Russian companies in buying Belarusian dairy products, including milk power, cheese, and butter, has been noticeably rising. “All the deals are made directly with producers, which allows offering competitive prices and a proper quality of the merchandise. All the milk-processing enterprises of the country are accredited with BUCE and Russian buyers actively exploit the fact. Most of the sales go to Moscow Oblast and Smolensk Oblast but judging by the statistics representatives of the private sector from other regions of Russia, including Bryansk Oblast, are getting gradually involved in exchange trade. I believe it is a good stimulus for further development of cooperation at the regional level,” he said.
Yuri Zolotarev, head of the Russian Federation’s trade representation in Belarus, drew attention to the considerable potential for increasing Belarus-Russia exchange trade. He expressed readiness to provide assistance to any Bryansk company, which is interested in penetrating the Belarusian market via BUCE.
The public joint-stock company (OAO) Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange was established in 2004. The first trade sessions took place in June 2005. BUCE is one of the largest mercantile exchanges in Eastern Europe. Its key function is to assist Belarusian companies with exporting their products and assist foreign companies with entering the Belarusian market. The commodity exchange facilitates trade in metals, timber, agricultural products, and a broad choice of industrial and consumer goods.
