MINSK, 12 December (BelTA) – Beltamozhservice has launched a fast rail route for exports to Iran, the company’s press service told BelTA.
The new service offers international cargo shipments by container train. The route passes through Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, and Turkmenistan.
Cargo is delivered to the departure station by road, after which the containers are transferred onto railway platforms. The total shipment time of 13-15 days makes this route one of the fastest and most convenient options for freight transport between the two countries.
“The new service opens up significant opportunities for Belarusian exporters and partners interested in developing trade with Iran. It will strengthen the position of domestic producers in international markets and expand the geography of their deliveries,” the press service noted.
Beltamozhservice has been appointed as the consolidator for applications regarding the rail transport of export cargo to seaports, sea ferry terminals, port facilities, and railway stations. It acts as the shipper for deliveries to countries across Africa, Latin America, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East.
