GOMEL, 15 June (BelTA) – OAO Oil Company Yangpur, a northern asset of the Belarusian industrial group Belorusneft, intends to at least double the extraction of natural gas and gas condensate in 2020 in comparison with 2019, the company’s press service told BelTA.

In 2020 Oil Company Yangpur is expected to extract over 700 million m3 of natural gas and 80,000 tonnes of gas condensate.

Oil Company Yangpur extracts 2.55 million m3 of natural gas and 200 tonnes of gas condensate every day. Most of the resources are extracted in the Metelnoye gas field. In May 2020 the company extracted 2.4 million m3 of natural gas and 190 tonnes of gas condensate in the area on a daily basis.

According to the source, the company received the first commercial inflow of gas-condensate mixture in the Metelnoye gas field in 2016. By that time the company’s Vyuzhnoye gas field was in the final stage of development, with extraction volumes gradually falling.

Infrastructure in the Metelnoye gas field continues growing. A pipeline to connect pad No.3 and the local gas preparation and stabilization unit will be commissioned soon. It will considerably reduce the cost of transporting gas condensate between industrial sites in the Metelnoye gas field.

The discovery of assets available in the Metelnoye gas field prompted a new stage in the development of Oil Company Yangpur’s gas business. Large-scale development of the Metelnoye gas field began one year ago. The existing installation was modernized while the company personnel were working on the second stage of the project. In order to reduce the time and financial cost of enhancing the infrastructure’s output, the company decided to build the third gas preparation unit directly at pad No.3. The pad now accounts for most of the gas extracted from the gas field. Specialists worked out the technological workflow and engineering documentation. The necessary equipment and materials for building the gas preparation unit were acquired. The unit was commissioned a month ago.

The public joint-stock company (OAO) Oil Company Yangpur extracts oil and natural gas. Oil Company Yangpur has represented Belorusneft on the Russian market of oil and gas extraction since 2013. The company performs geological surveying, exploration, and extraction of hydrocarbon resources from fields in the Izvestinsky licensed site located in Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District. The core business includes the extraction of oil, natural gas, gas condensate, sales of hydrocarbon resources and derivative products to companies in Russia and other countries.
