Bellesbumprom’s export up by 3.9% in January-November 2020

MINSK, 4 January (BelTA) – In January-November 2020, the companies affiliated with the Belarusian timber, woodworking, pulp and paper industry concern Bellesbumprom increased export by 4% year-on-year, BelTA learned from Bellesbumprom’s press service.

“In January-November 2020, the companies affiliated with Bellesbumprom supplied $550.8 million worth of products to 70 countries, which was up by 3.9% over January-November 2019. Thanks to efforts to get access to new markets, the export to non-CIS countries grew by 10.5% to $276.4 million and that to the EU member states went up by 2.4% to $192.8 million,” the press service noted.

Supplies to Russia, Bellesbumprom’s largest export market, rose by 2.9% to $174.7 million. Other top export markets included Poland ($80.8 million), China ($60 million), Ukraine ($57.7 million), and Lithuania ($36.8 million).

“Export accounted for 76% of the total output of the companies affiliated with Bellesbumprom. This was the highest share of export in output in the history of Bellesbumprom,” the press service said.

Bellesbumprom’s companies export more than 50 various products. Major exports include wood panels, furniture, pulp, plywood, paper, and cardboard. Other popular exports are sawn wood, windows, doors, building structures, wallpaper, and forestry chemistry products.
