MINSK, 14 May (BelTA) – Enterprises of the Belarusian state light industry concern Bellegprom exported their goods to 42 countries in Q1 2022, BelTA learned from press secretary of the concern Marina Vaskevich.

In January-March 2022 the Bellegprom enterprises produced Br446.6 million worth of goods, which is 106.2% compared with the same stretch a year ago. Textile enterprises Kamvol and Orsha Linen Mill, Galanteya haberdashery company and Neman shoe factory are the leaders in terms of shipments.

“60% of the produced goods worth $386 million were exported to 42 countries. Exports grew to 17 countries, including the Netherlands (up 3.9 times), Poland (149.5%), Latvia (115.2%), Bulgaria (4.3 times), India (42.3 times), Belgium (144.3%), Britain (168.8%), Israel (196.1%), Georgia (238%), Azerbaijan (164.6%), Canada (128.9%), Korea (6.4 times), and others,” the press service said.

“Exports stood at the level of 95%, we failed to meet this indicator. There are objective reasons related to the reorientation of supply channels. This work, however, should be conducted systematically, and at an accelerated pace. This should include the use of modern digital platforms, both retail and wholesale: ICOL, TradeBel, Ozon and others,” head of Bellegprom Tatiana Lugina said.

The Bellegprom enterprises increased their revenues by 3%, which amounted to Br486 million. Return on sales across all the enterprises of the concern was 9.3%. The real wages of employees grew by 3.5% to Br1,010.
