MINSK, 17 September (BelTA) – Deputy Chairwoman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BelCCI) Yelena Malinovskaya met with a delegation from the city of Changchun (the capital of Jilin Province, People’s Republic of China). The meeting was hosted by the BelCCI on 16 September, BelTA has learned.

Yelena Malinovskaya briefed the head of the delegation, Deputy Secretary‑General of the Changchun Municipal People's Government Zhang Yong, on Belarus’ trade and economic potential and on the activities of the BelCCI. She highlighted the strong results achieved by Belarusian enterprises at trade fairs in China, both in terms of the number and the volume of contracts signed. “China is Belarus’ second‑largest trading partner, and we are committed to further enriching our all‑weather and all-round strategic partnership with concrete content in the interests of the businesses of our two countries,” Yelena Malinovskaya stressed.

In turn, Zhang Yong expressed satisfaction with the dynamics of cooperation with Belarus and welcomed the high level of activity shown by Belarusian enterprises. He noted that trade between Belarus and Jilin Province reached ¥240 million (about $34 million) in 2024 and has every chance to further growth.

The parties discussed prospects for Belarus-China business cooperation.
