BelAZ to ship first mine trucks to Indonesia in early April

MINSK, 31 March (BelTA) - The Belarusian automobile engineering company BelAZ, the managing company of BelAZ Holding Company, will ship its first batch of mine trucks to Indonesia in early April, BelTA learnt from the company.

“Representatives of the Indonesian companies PT Bukit Asam and PT Pusaka Bumi Transportasi paid a visit to the Belarusian Autoworks on 29 March. The Indonesian delegation visited the plant to get familiar with the company and its products, hold a pre-shipment inspection of the first batch of mine trucks BelAZ-75135 and also hold talks on further cooperation. The first 12 vehicles will be shipped to Indonesia at the start of April already,” specialists of the Belarusian Autoworks said.

It will be the first batch of high-capacity trucks that will go to the customer under the contract that was signed in February 2016. Next shipments of mine trucks with a capacity of 110t are scheduled for May-June 2016.

“Our trucks will be used by one of the biggest coal-mining companies PT Bukit Asam Tbk to transport overburden rocks. According to representatives of the Indonesian companies, BelAZ trucks were chosen due to an optimal quality, price and technical characteristics,” the company said.

The Zhodino-based Belarusian automobile engineering company (BelAZ trademark) was founded in September 1948. In 2010 BelAZ was reincorporated into a public joint stock company.In September 2012 BelAZ became the managing company of BelAZ Holding Company. BelAZ is the world’s leading manufacturer of mine dump trucks with a large carrying capacity and an extremely large carrying capacity as well as other heavy transport equipment used in the mining industry and the civil engineering industry.
