MINSK, 7 April (BelTA) – Six BelAZ haulers are currently used at Achinsk Alumina Refinery in Krasnoyarsk Krai, Russia, BelTA learned from the press service of the company.

“A batch of 55-tonne haulers BelAZ-7555V was delivered to Achinsk Alumina Refinery, which is part of Rusal Achinsk, in March. The Belarusian vehicles have been purchased to upgrade the fleet of mining transport and will be used at the Mazoul mine in Krasnoyarsk Krai,” the press service said.

When choosing the equipment, Achinsk Alumina Refinery took into account the experience of using similar vehicles at mining sites of other companies. “New haulers will help increase labor productivity and reduce costs for the technological process of raw material extraction. This equipment has high performance characteristics. It is more economical in terms of fuel and lubricants consumption. The driver's cabs have an improved view and control system, and are equipped with comfortable seats and climate systems,” Rusal Achinsk said.

In 2020, Rusal plans to purchase several dozens of haulers.

BelAZ haulers were delivered to Krasnoyarsk Krai by Krasnoyarsk-BelAZService, BelAZ’s official dealer in the region.

Rusal is a leading, global aluminium producer. The company’s main products are primary aluminium, aluminium alloys, foil and alumina. Rusal is a completely vertically integrated aluminium company with assets right through the production process – from bauxite and nepheline ore mines to aluminium smelters and foil mills.

BelAZ is the managing company of the holding company BelAZ. BelAZ is the world's leading manufacturer of haul trucks and transport equipment for mining industry and civil engineering industry. BelAZ accounts for some 30% of the world market of haul trucks with an extremely large carrying capacity. The company makes the world’s largest haul truck with the carrying capacity of 450 tonnes.
