BelAZ exports up 66.3% in January-April 2018

MINSK, 10 May (BelTA) - BelAZ, the managing company of BelAZ holding company, increased its exports by 66% in January-April 2018, the company told BelTA.

In January-April 2018 the company exported about 96% of its products (up 66.3%). The export to Russia went up by 52.8%. Deliveries to the CIS countries (except for Russia) soared 3.6 times. Russia, Uzbekistan and Ukraine made up the top three customers of the Belarusian factory. The company sold its products to 25 countries.

The company made considerable headway in the deliveries to non-CIS countries. BelAZ resumed supplies to Indonesia, where the company shipped seven 130t haulers for coal mining. In March BelAZ vehicles were first delivered to Bangladesh. Another batch of 45t haul trucks BelAZ-75454 fitted with Scania engines was shipped to Europe. The country sold to 17 non-CIS countries, taking into account the delivery of component parts.

“BelAZ vehicles meet all the international standards, technical acts, codes and directives, which enables us to expand the geography of our supplies. Every year BelAZ vehicles are delivered to more than 30 countries. Over the period of its operation the Belarusian company has sold its products to more than 80 countries,” the company said.

BelAZ is the world’s top manufacturer of haul trucks with a large and extremely large payload capacity as well as other heavy transport equipment used in mining and construction. In 2017, BelAZ was ranked second among the manufacturers of haul trucks in terms of heavy-duty truck exports.
