Belavia switches to summer schedule

Belavia switches to summer schedule

MINSK, 1 April (BelTA) – On 31 March the Belavia national air carrier switched to the summer schedule that will be in place till 26 October, BelTA learned from the airline.

Compared to the Summer 2018 season, the airline will fly more often to Barcelona, Riga, Sochi, Istanbul (6 times per week), Almaty, Baku and Berlin (5 times per week). Flights to Karaganda and Pavlodar will be operated twice a week, while flights to Yerevan will be available three times a week. The company will fly to Budapest and Krasnodar 4 times a week, to Paris 11 times a week. During the holiday season, passengers will be offered up to 5 flights to Larnaca and up to 7 flights to Tel Aviv weekly.

Belavia informed that the schedule was revised following a thorough analysis of passenger turnover and the growing demand for direct flights from and to Minsk and the increasing appeal of Minsk as a convenient transit hub. “Apart from that, on 30 May the airline will launch regular flights Minsk-Tallinn-Minsk (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday). Starting from 22 April, the air carrier will operate regular flights to the Sheremetyevo International Airport twice a day,” the airline added.

The company has announced several new charter flights from Minsk. Belavia will fly to Chania (Greece) and Lamezia Terme (Italy), and will resume flights to Enfidha (Tunisia) after a long break.

Apart from that, Belavia will operate new charter flights from Grodno, Brest and Mogilev to Enfidha and from Gomel to Monastir (Tunisia).

All in all, Belavia will fly more often to 15 destinations and will launch flights to two new destinations.

This is expected to satisfy passenger demand and expand transit capacities of the airline.
