he national air carrier Belavia has decreased tariffs on all charter flights, Director General of the national air carrier Anatoly Gusarov told media on 4 February, BelTA has learned.“There was information that Belavia increased tariffs on charter flights. It is not true. Moreover, having in mind various nuances and processes on the foreign currency market, we have even reduced tariffs for our partners in all destinations,” Anatoly Gusarov said.
In 2014 the air carrier operated 2,494 charter flights, up 38.5% over the year 2013. The company offered charter flights to 141 destinations in 46 countries, including in Belarus.
According to Anatoly Gusarov, in 2014 the company carried 1.972,737 passengers, up 22.3% over 2013. “The number of passengers increases every year. In 2014 the company posted a rather serious increase of 22.3%. We do not expect such a rise in 2015, but we still predict a moderate increase,” Anatoly Gusarov said.
The company carried 1 million passengers in July 2014. In 2013 the milestone of 1 million passengers was achieved in August, in 2011 – in December. In November 2014 the number of passengers carried by Belavia made up 1.5 million.
As for the freight transportation, in 2014 Belavia carried 2,207 tonnes of cargos and mail, up 9.6% over the previous year.
Last year Belavia opened three new flights, namely Minsk-Nice-Minsk, Minsk-Krasnodar-Minsk, and Minsk-Gomel-Kaliningrad-Gomel-Minsk flights. In 2015 Belavia is planning to open the flight to Almaty. The flight will be opened on 29 April. The flights will be available twice a week on Thursdays and Saturdays. The minimal cost of the one-way ticket will be
