VITEBSK, 17 March (BelTA) – The Belarusian TV manufacturer Vityas has launched the production of 4 new models of big smart TV sets running on the Salute TV operating system under a joint project with the Russian company SberDevices, BelTA learned from the marketing department of the Vitebsk enterprise.

SberDevices is a subsidiary of the Russian Sber that specializes in developing smart devices with virtual assistants of the Salute family for end consumers and corporate clients. Production of smart TVs on the Salute TV operating system was set up at the Vityas site in late 2021. The TV manufacturer managed to expand its partnerships. In February 2022 the company began licensed production of a range of TV sets under the new SBER trademark, with an original design, 4K Ultra HD screen resolution and 43, 50, 55 and 65 inch diagonal size, running the Salute TV operating system. Products have already been put on sale in major Russian electronics chains. In total, Vityas has already mastered the production of about 15 models of smart TVs on Salute OS under various brands.

Vityas keeps increasing the volume of TV sets production to meet the needs of the Russian market. Largely thanks to the activity in the eastern direction, the Belarusian company increased its exports 2.7 times in 2021.

Vityas' ability to promptly respond to consumer demand expanded after the commissioning of a new line to produce large diagonal TV sets in the middle of 2021. This let the company increase the production of the most popular models with 43 to 65 inch diagonal size almost 1.5 times. Their share in the structure of this innovative product output exceeds 50%. The positive effect of modernization was achieved thanks to the expanded equipment fleet, optimized internal production logistics, including the adjustment, quality control, and downloading of special software products.

According to the Vityas marketing department, new TVs running on the Salute TV operating system are available to users in Belarus as well.

The Salute TV operating system allows setting up voice control and connecting smart home devices. There are three virtual assistants - Sber, Athena and Joy, so everyone can choose a suitable character by voice and character. The assistants are tasked with executing the user's voice commands, including answering questions, searching for content, ordering products, and more. The built-in browser allows you to use the TV for Internet surfing.

The Vitebsk television factory Vityas was founded in 1976. In 2010 the enterprise was incorporated into a public joint-stock company (OAO), with the state owning 100% of the stock. Vityas is a diversified enterprise specializing in about 20 types of activities, including the production of TV sets and household appliances, medical equipment and other high-tech products, and offers a wide range of manufacturing services. In 2017, the company launched the production of charging stations for electric vehicles, the range of which already includes more than 20 models of various modifications. Vityas is developing its own network of charging stations for electric vehicles under the ISKRA brand. The company employs more than 1,200 people.
